I luv dogs but don't want them around while eating
The dog I am speaking of was not a service dog, I heard the lady tell the table next to them, it was not a service dog just a family pet. Haywood County has a leash law as does most of NC, the dog was unleashed and came to our table at least 3 times. The owners of the dog thought it was cute. Don't get me wrong, I love dogs and I have dogs, I do not take them out to eat with me because not all people like animals, and because many are allergic to them.
No buffet but the food is great!
Open 7-2 with breakfast and/or lunch served.
Great food and very friendly service! Price is Right!
I had the Seany (BLT) & husband had the Holly (similar to a turkey reuben). The food was amazing! Perfect fries. BLT was loaded up with bacon because, of course, everything’s better with bacon!! Husband said his sandwich was uniquely phenomenal (as in he’s never really had anything quite like it). The atmosphere was relaxed and the people were friendly. I’m happy we spotted this place off the road and decided to stop! Grabbed a tshirt on the way out and plan to go back next time I’m in the area to try some breakfast.
A great place to eat! Always delicious!
Best ribs ever! Everything is “homemade” & you can tell it! Would definitely recommend! We will be back!
Not bad for a little ma and pop place to eat. The food was good and the server was very nice. Home fries was good.
The food was good but there's all new people working in there that have no idea what they're doing it took longer to pay the bill then it did to eat breakfast
food was great, but service needs improvement. ordered food, but never received it all and even ask for it twice.
Always the best!! Love this place. Shrimp and grits are delicious!!
I love all the food I have ate here. The club sandwich takes me back to my childhood. It's just like the sandwich my granddaddy used to get me. Highly recommend.
When my Wife and I visit the kitchen staff was fairly new. However the food was good. And the service was great under the covid restrictions... A fairly good experience
The food is excellent, it seems he is having problems getting help, so service is not good right now. Also, it's small, so social distancing is impossible.
The breakfast food is amazing! Delicious omlets! The whole family loved their meals we went back the next day!
Always tasty food and friendly staff. Just enjoyed a delicious take out breakfast. During these tough times, we're happy to help support local businesses whenever we can.
Pops is always a welcoming place for Dad and I to grab our weekly breakfast. Service with a smile, a casual atmosphere, and every visit includes Pop coming out of the kitchen to spread some cheer and talk with the patrons.Foods great, and the people are wonderful. Go try it!
This place had great food and great service. Highly recommend!
Best barbecue I've had in my life. Service was not so hot.
Great food and great service at a great price!
Very bad service. I sincerely struggle to give this place a star. The service was not great and the food was worse. Very disappointing. I will say, someone please teach your staff how to cook eggs. And when serving, how to smile and listen to what the customer is asking for.We will not give this place a second chance and astonished that is is this in business. The owner seems very indifferent and rude.
Horrible ,tried it 2 times and terrible experience both times. The owner could not get tickets out of the kitchen.
My review is based on service alone, since we did not actually eat the food. We waited up front for about 10 min before we were seated. With Covid-19 going on there was no social distancing in place. We were crowned around a bunch of other people waiting. While waiting, the young workers seemed to be very aggravated and irritated even though the restaurant was not that busy. They argued over who would handel what table. It was not professional at all! When we were finally seated, we sat for over 5 min and no one ever came to us to get our drink order or bring a menu. While the people who were seated after us got theirs. So we got up and walked out.
Way better than Joeys everything we have had here has been amazing! Our favorites are the pancakes and shrimp po boy! We love pops over Joeys! They are so family friendly and I can’t wait for him to take over Butts on the creek! We bought a rack of ribs from him and they were the best we have had from any BBQ place around here and even better than a couple of our favorites in Texas
Great omelets. The home fries are awesome. The staff and Pop are great as well.
Wow the best breakfast I've had in a long time. The staff was great. I will definitely be going back again
Great place for breakfast! We were staying next store at the hotel. And the owner said to come here for breakfast. I'm glad we did. We ate here 2 days and it was great both days. I had the biscuits and gravy day 1 and then eggs with potatoes the next. Definitely would recommend this little place. I can't say anything about the lunch as we only had breakfast
The food was so good that my wife and I ate there 3 days in a row.
Amazing fresh food cooked by people who care what they serve. We ate breakfast and dinner there!
We are from out of town and we're so glad we chose this spot for breakfast. Delicious and huge biscuits. Great omelets, home fries and pancakes. Biscuits are about a pound a piece lol. Small spot but really good.
SHRIMP & GRITS WERE AMAZING!!! Drove out of the way just for them. Just as good as I remembered, but a little pricey. Love the crunch of the fried grits; and, then... there's this amazing sauce!!! OH, MY, MY!!!
I'd love to tell you the food is great, but I never actually get to eat it. Both times I've been here, we've order breakfast takeout. Both times they completely forgot my meal. If you're going to charge me $50 for four orders of eggs, bacon and pancakes, I expect to actually get the food. I won't go back.
Fantastic, food for breakfast had great flavor.Good portion, good price.
Fresh coffee; great omelettes, grits and home fries. Excellent service!
Went for breakfast and came back for dinner- Pop is awesome. The Cuban french toast was nice. The omelets rocked. Dinner was great. I recommend dropping in for a nice meal- Pop will take good care of you!
Love the food and love Pop, but it's lacking organization. People walked out while we were waiting for our food. Waitresses were not assigned certain tables so they were confused about orders. One person should be at the register. Some orders made it to the kitchen and some didn't. Some orders were yelled out while others turned in a ticket. So much potential! Have a meeting with the employees and get on the same page.
The food is great and the service is excellent! The pancakes are a must have!
Not good. 20 minutes to get ice tea. 10 more minutes to have order taken. After 45 minutes I just left. Half the tables were empty and at least 4 tables were waiting, the owner was sitting talking to customers and my waitress was sitting at another table eating.
Wonderful little spot. Homemade hash is delicious. Food is served fast and hot. Friendly staff.
I had 'The Bill' three egg omelette with smoked turkey, spinach, and a bunch of goodies inside. Was absolutely delicious! Not as messy as you'd expect. Turkey and spinach both cut up just as fine as the egg and cheese.
Great food. Would only wish we could of tried his bbq. Loved it.
Pop’s is an inexpensive yet delicious restaurant that was more than willing to accommodate me during my wedding weekend! I had three sides catered from them (we’d already cooked the main dish on our own) and they were exactly what I hoped for! Pop’s was even willing to stay open later so that we could pick up our food at a time convenient for us! We will definitely be dining there next time we’re in town.
Good home cooked breakfast! The three meat omelette was FULL of meat which I loved. I wish there was a rating between 4 and 5 because I feel like they were closer to a five than a four. I recommend if you are looking for a good breakfast place in the valley.
Great little place. Great breakfast. Wonderful folks. Back open after covid. Nice to dine in again!
Not the greatest but not the worst. The pricing is high for a dive and the taste does not support the pricing. The atmosphere is blahzay and the place could use a good deep clean. It may be the first deep clean the place has ever had!
Great place for breakfast! Good food, friendly service. Next time we're in Maggie Valley, we'll eat every breakfast there.
The food was excellent! I can't judge the service because it was packed.
Great little stop for breakfast. The food was really good and not "heavy" at all. We really enjoyed eating here!
Good food, good prices, friendly staff
Great people, great food! The brisket hash was AMAZING!!
Pop's is great. Love the stone ground grits, thick bacon and good coffee. If you're in Maggie Valley, this is a great place to get breakfast. Thanks Pop's!
Food was good. Service wasnt that great.
We were not impressed with anything and will not return. No obvious measures being taken to prevent spread of Coronavirus. This place is apparently a love it or hate it establishment from the reviews...no doubt which side we're on. Food is subpar at best. I was generous with the 3 star rating but the staff was friendly.
